Four-Four-Two is a tried and tested formation loved by Sunday Football League Managers up and down the country.It has also been, for a generation, the staple diet of Professional Football in England.
In the Mid-80’s/Early 90’s, our finest Coaches could not wait to abandon it, in favour of fancy foreign notions of 3 at the back with “Wing-Backs”, oooh! the Glamour!
How ironic that the Italians adopted our regimented approach, and AC Milan became one of the best Club sides the World has ever seen!
